Interview Highlights
[00:2:00] Success that everybody talks about, it’s not a magical unicorn. It’s not something that you just create because you were born into that. It’s truly is a set of skills.
[00:4:00] I truly believe that people who are innovating, who are building something and who are following their passion and stepping into that purpose, it’s not that they have a map or that they know more than anybody else. they just really. started doing and do it one step at a time.
[00:11:00] Pushing the button and just saying go sometimes can feel a little bit scary. Decision is easy. Execution is hard. And a lot, times we make that decision. But then we overthink it and that’s one of the things that hold so many of us back because we get eager, we get excited, we see an opportunity. but then we start thinking of all the things that can go wrong. we start getting advice from people who shouldn’t be asking for advice from in the first place. And then we get emotions in the mix. And before you know it, we are in pause mode
[00:12:00] And then obviously the second one is. Perfection, right?
[00:13:00] 90 seconds of courage. if you’re sitting in front of your website before you make it live, put a timer on for 90 seconds and somewhere there, you have to press that button and make it live.
[00:18:00] We are in unusual times and all of our mindset and motivation challenges are amplified probably now, what tactics that you have that can help people lift their mindset, get out of that funk and, and find more motivation and inspiration? One thing that might be sounding surprising is to lower the bar. Give yourself grace, understanding that you are now living in a brand new world. You’re learning new skills on the fly you’re pivoting and changing your businesses to accommodate the current reality.
[00:21:00] Give yourself time to readapt. We live in this microwave society where we think we just want to flip a switch. wake up tomorrow and I’m going to feel perfect regardless of what’s happening, I’m just going to be great. It’s not going to happen. And it’s not a flip a switch. You’re an emotional human beings and yYour mindset is going to take time to process everything. Give yourself that time to adapt and kind of go slow and take the steps and move forward.
[00:22:00] Lessons learned 1. lower the bar. Love that. 2.Ttake massive action and massive action. Which can be multiple small steps 3. Ttake the time to adapt 4. Serve others.
[00:24:00] How do you know that you have an extra year?
[00:25:00]Get out out of assumptive living. assuming that you have tomorrow, that you have next week, that you have a better opportunity that you have about a day or a better idea, because all you can do is start and try.
