The Benefits of Meditation on the Bottom Line – Interview with Kristi Stangeland

Would you meditate if it could increase your bottom line and profit? 

The physical and mental benefits of meditation and mindfulness have been well documented.  It can help with everything from reducing stress and anxiety, promoting emotional and physical well-being to increasing attention span and having better sleep.

In the past 10 years it has gone from hippie to mainstream, but it is still mostly practiced at home or in a yoga studio setting.  We are now seeing some progressive companies like Apple, Nike, HBO and even Mckinsey and Co and Deutsche Bank including meditation as part of their employee health and benefits programs. 

It doesn’t have to be limited to a class, it can be infused into daily meetings and decision making activities.  With the impacts of a global pandemic, employers are looking for more and different ways to reduce stress and anxiety and support the mental health of their employees as they transition back into the workplace. 

In this interview Meditation and Feng Shui expert Kristi Stangeland she shares the science and benefits behind meditation along with a simple 1 minute exercise that can be used at the beginning of any meeting to get your team relaxed and focussed, be more creative and open minded and get you started with your own meditation practice.
